Hello all! We are pleased to inform you that our server is now up and running as planned. We are proudly streaming to PBBans and hope that we can provide an enjoyable experience for everyone that joins! Thank you and enjoy yourself.

Server: Problems and Resolutions

So, as we all know, nothing can ever go quite as planned. After the excitement and rush of getting our new server up and running. We found out that our host that we are going through has assigned us a shared IP with someone else’s server. This has caused things such as the lack of our server to show up in browsers, failures to connect on the first, second, or even third tries. Messed up names in the Favorites browser. And the lack of being able to stream through PBBans. We have contacted them and let them know of this issue, and we really hope that we can resolve this problem as soon as possible and get back to fragging! Thank you for your patience.

Server: Up and Running!

Hello all, we have some very exciting news to shed for everyone here. Through many ups and downs, and people mysteriously disappearing without any notice that they were leaving, we finally have a server up and running. Below is the information for the server.

Server Name: Deceased Gaming: Recruiting
Game: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
IP Address: 208.167.234.83

Other information:
The server is hardcore and friendly fire is enabled, it is neither shared, nor reflected. As of now, it is 24/7 Team Deathmatch without Wet Works, Downpour, and Shipment in the map rotation. We would like to ask that you enjoy the server, and spread the name to your friends, and their friends. Hope to see you in the game soon!

Call of Duty 4: New Maps

It has been confirmed that Infinity Ward is releasing new maps for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. There are four maps total. IGN has provided a great overview of each of the maps, which I will post here for you to read.

Broadcast
We’ll begin with Broadcast. As you may have guessed it’s basically ripped from the “Charlie Don’t Surf” level from early in the single-player campaign. As with most COD4 maps there are both outdoor and indoor sparring grounds with multi-tiered structures that can be used to a team’s advantage if played properly. The inside of Broadcast is an office environment complete with cubicles, a separate room with television equipment, a main lobby area and what appears to be a copy room that’s home to a massive skylight where the enemy can try and get the drop on an unsuspecting opponent. The smaller outdoor portion features abandoned vehicles which can be used as cover as well as a staircase leading to the roof and the aforementioned strategic skylight.

Chinatown (Carentan)
Next up was Chinatown which features the requisite neon lighting and ancient looking statues to go along with the many shops that provide the perfect reprieve from the showdowns that take place on the streets. While Broadcast showcased many alternate routes and relatively wide open spaces, Chinatown was more about close-quarter combat. The kind of stuff that shotgun-toting madmen dream about. The buildings have tightly wound staircases that can be dangerous if you aren’t properly equipped. Snipers can try their luck at peeking out one of the second story windows in hopes of landing a few shots, but hiding places don’t last long. The map was easily the most straightforward in the new pack, but that doesn’t mean that deathmatch won’t be a blast to play.

Creek
Last of the three main maps is Creek, the biggest map that has been in seen in Call of Duty 4 to date. As you might have guessed, it’s an outdoor stage with rock faces that feature winding paths and trees and sandbags that provide cover at the top. It’s perfectly suited for snipers to peer down on those trying to run along the creek and into the caves or up one of the paths to the small village with its shanty buildings and shacks. Creek was my least favorite as it was clearly geared towards long range battles and sniper exchanges. A few of the facets of Call of Duty 4’s gameplay that have always escaped me.

Killhouse
The fourth map is called Killhouse and, as the name indicates, is all about putting a group of players in a small, confined space and letting them loose. It’s based off of the training level that introduces players to the COD4 world and is sure to be home to some of the most heated battles in the game. Killhouse is composed of many small wooden structures with one lookout post sitting in the middle of the map. The level was fairly symmetrical with concrete walls and structures providing plenty of cover for those looking to flee a standoff. The roof is open so airstrikes and helicopters are a serious advantage if you can stay alive long enough to earn them.

All credit for the above information goes to IGN.

Now, after looking at the above things, I know that we, as well as many of you, are really excited for the new Carentan remake, mostly because it is Carentan, but with a modern twist. One downside of these maps though is that we don’t know for sure that they are coming to the PC. I would say, for a fact, that they will, but at a later release date than for the consoles. The wait is now ours, until then, happy fragging!

Server: Coming Soon!

Hey all, we are updating you on our server that we will be getting soon. It is going to have a maximum capacity of sixteen players, as we decided that eight people versus eight people was the perfect amount based on the current maps that shipped with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Other details are still being worked out and finalized, once we solve everything, we will be sure to return and update everyone.

Server: Update!

While we are still working out how we are going to process this, we may have a fully functional Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare server up and running today. Some of the known things about the server so far is that it will be Hardcore, and allow for either sixteen or eighteen players. We feel that anything above eighteen players provides to be a hectic, chaotic, gaming experience, which very few actually enjoy. We hope that our server will provide to be a home for many people, and also be a popular one.
